Yoga to me is so much more than being super bendy and doing crazy inversions. It is about uncovering who you really are, it is about being kind to yourself and live your life with a sense of compassion and gratitude.
Living in the hustle and bustle of New York City, I found it difficult for many years to maintain a healthy lifestyle, Yoga helped me find the balance I needed with my crazy Bar Life work schedule.
Coming from a dance background, I decided I wanted to share what I've learned (and still learning) and help people find their own balance.
I found that Ashtanga Vinyasa worked beautifully for me.
We've all been to those classes where it's a little stressful to figure out where you legs and arms are suppose to go - not so relaxing huh....
The beauty of Ashtanga is that it's a routine and there is something to be said for routine! I find that because I know what is coming next I flow a lot better and I can actually relax in the asanas (poses) and really enjoy the practice aswell as getting all the amazing benefits that yoga offers.
With a new found confidence and my passion for inspiring others I took a leap of faith and under took my 200 hour yoga teacher training with Ashtanga Yoga Nicaragua.
I am always a student at heart and regularly take master classes and workshops. I am always looking to deepen my own practice and knowledge of yoga and translate this into my classes.
